Chelan Interagency Weather System (C.I.W.S.)

 

Operated in cooperation with:
Chelan County - National Weather Service - US Forest Service

Chelan County Emergency Management operates a system of ten weather stations throughout the county.  These stations gather a variety of information, depending upon the station, then transmits it back to Wenatchee by radio.  The information is then logged in a dedicated server and transmitted every ten minutes to the National Weather Service in Spokane.
